Purple Red Gold Royal Medieval Renaissance Wedding Invitation Set

I designed this stunning and unique medieval royal wedding invitation set for a medieval, renaissance fair (renaissance faire, renaissance festival), royal, or fairy tale (fairytale) themed wedding.

I wanted to create something with an offbeat feel for a fun, thinking outside the box couple.

About this medieval or renaissance royal wedding invitation set

In my opinion, a medieval or renaissance wedding invitation should feature deep, bold colors associated with royalty. Therefore, I created this wedding invitation design using bold jewel colors of royal purple, deep red, and gold.

I also felt that this wedding theme could have rich design elements, such as gold and velvet.

Therefore, I added an elaborate gold scroll design that looks similar to the intricacy you might see on a royal crown.

Also, I added a background that appears to look like crushed velvet (a favorite with royal costumes).

And no themed invitation is complete without changing up the wording to reflect the theme. So, I started off the wording off with the words hear ye, hear ye as though spoken by the town crier.

Finally, I also used a medieval blackletter font for the highlighted words. I paired that with an old world style calligraphy font that looks as though it was written with a fountain pen.

This unique medieval or renaissance fair wedding invitation set is only available from Lemon Leaf Prints.

Note: the gold color in this design is simulated by the graphic and printed on. It is not actual gold metallic ink, but it does look convincing when printed.

When you order, I personalize the wording for you and provide you with an electronic proof to approve via email before anything goes to print. Changes can be requested by you and new proofs are sent.

The colors are currently deep red, royal purple, and gold. If you’d like the purple or the red changed to a different color, feel free to contact me.

A note about choosing a paper type

Choose from a variety of paper types and envelopes. They are all quite affordable.

Also, the pieces of this medieval wedding invitation suite would look great on any of the paper types available for sale.

The design is so elaborate that it speaks for itself and looks fabulous on the standard 120# uncoated accent opaque paper.

Alternatively, I suggest getting the #110 white felt paper to add some texture. This added texture would make the crushed velvet background look great!

Or, if you are interested in having a shimmer show through on the lighter gold color, choose the #110 ice pearl paper. This paper has a built in shimmer. Note, the shimmer will not show through as much with the darker colors.

The metallics lustre gold leaf envelopes are the closest match to the design. However, that envelope is a darker, more antique taupe gold color. You might consider purchasing the envelopes from an envelope specialty store if you’re wanting a lighter gold metallic color.
